    Plaquenil and low neutrophils

I've a low WBC of 3.3 and neutrophils count of 1.23. Anyone has had this before and the numbers went back to normal after 2 weeks? Try not to worry, your doctor is keeping an eye on things x I'm guessing you're in the USA? My neutrophils and lymphocytes are always too low for my GP's comfort and tend to reflect how badly I have been flaring. Your doctor is repeating the test, I would think, to ensure they don't continue to fall.

LDGs are distinguished from monocytes on the basis of their high expression of the neutrophil marker CD15 and their low expression of CD14. Furthermore, SLE-derived LDGs express CD10 and CD16 but lack MHC class II and CD86 expression. 5 All adult patients with SLE so far examined display LDGs in their PBMC fractions. Importantly, patients with high numbers of LDGs in peripheral blood have increased prevalence of skin involvement and vasculitis. A complete blood count CBC is the most commonly performed lab test in the U. S. and is used to analyze red blood cells RBCs, white blood cells WBCs, and platelets. The last time I had such low neutrophils count was in 2014. Hi Jen Low, Welcome to the LUPUS UK Health Unlocked Community! Mine are always lower than that and they never improve.

Even while taking 400mg of Plaquenil and 15mg of Prednisone also an immunosuppressant, my immune system was still overactive. My Absolute Neutrophils good indicator of immune system function didn't get suppressed to a NORMAL range until I increased the Plaquenil to 600mg/day while still taking the Prednisone. A complete ANA panel was pulled with all results.2 except for Antichromatin Antibodies.8.0-.9. Contraindications for Administering Yellow Fever Vaccine Need. Vaccination may be considered with caution, however, if exposure to yellow fever virus is unavoidable and the benefit of vaccination outweighs the risk of an adverse reaction.
