  5. I've read of people who say that it did and others who say it did not. If it made your psoriasis worse, did your psoriasis get back to its pre-Plaquenil state after you stopped the Plaquenil? I'm considering Plaquenil for my next drug to try. I have PsA but also have Sjogren's Syndrome, and Plaquenil works well for many with Sjogren's Syndrome.

    I would agree with others.not wait to try the plaquenil. It does take time to build up in your system. The most important thing to remember when taking it is to be certain to have a baseline eye exam from an opthamologist not an optometrist and then be followed minimally once per year or every six months as it rarely can cause eye issues. I have to make sure that i have fast access to a bathroom for the hour after I take it. I'm also having a lot of abdominal pain/gas/heartburn that is not always present. granted, this was one of the initial symptoms that led to me going to the doctor and getting diagnosed, so it may not be plaquenil related. When I started Plaquenil almost 2 months ago I assumed the GI issues were a side effect and it would eventually go away but it hasn't. I'm going to bring it up to my rheumy when I see him.
