    Plaquenil side effects mood changes

It's used to treat and prevent malaria infection, and to reduce symptoms and progression of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes, which transmit the parasites that cause the infection, usually in tropical and subtropical parts of the world.

For the Consumer. Continuing ringing or buzzing or other unexplained noise in the ears. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings. irritability. nausea. nervousness. nightmares. sensation of spinning. shakiness and unsteady walk. uncontrolled eye movements. unsteadiness, trembling, or. Constant headaches, worse muscle and joint pain to the point I can barely use my hammer or squat anymore. My shoulders and neck, knees and legs are hurting so much more than usual. Fatigue, dizziness and worse brain fog/confusion and significant mood changes. Hydroxy Plaquenil CAN affect moods & can cause 'mental changes' in some people u should b able 2 clarify this by reading u're info leaflet in the med packet. I came off hydroxy as I gained no benefit whatsoever & apart from getting near on every side effect from it, became the most s**** bitch ever lol!

For example, it may be combined with an antibiotic to treat chronic Q-fever, which humans usually catch from farm animals or raw milk. Plaquenil is used to treat other types of infections too.

  3. Lets face it, lupus is a life changer and we need to deal. I had problems with Plaquinal, but upon researching, it is the best drug for us so I stayed with it. Zero problems now.patience! been on cortisone drops for over a year.started at 16 mg day and have now tapered to 2 drops, or 2 mg.

RARE side effects. If experienced, these tend to have a Severe expression. Abnormal Liver Function Tests. Acute Liver Failure. Acute Pustular Eruptions On Skin. Bronchospasm. Decreased Blood Platelets. Decreased White Blood Cells. Plaquenil did nothing to me for my RA or my mood. But mthx really changed my mood. And my psychiatrist told me that many of these drugs are chemically related to hormones, and that mthx can cause radical mood changes in people. Then again, if it works, you are going to be less irritable than in the wheelchair, having spent many years in one. Hi, Im not sure if this is a side effect of the plaquenil but you can google it to see if this can be one of the side effects. If it is, just go with it, stick to the plaquenil as after a couple of weeks when your body adjusts to it, most symptoms get better or go away completely.

If you are allergic to sulfa drugs does this mean you can't. Sep 02, 2009 I have been allergic to sulfa meds for over 30 years. I have been taking plaquenil for about 8 years with no problems. However, I was givin the generic Plaquenil at first, and I did have a reaction to that - until now I didn't reliese was the same as my sulfa reaction.
