    Plaquenil vs Methotrexate rheumatoid With Plaquenil, the possibility of permanent vision damage scares me. I also want to be sure that I'm taking a drug that will slow/stop the progression of the disease. I've read elsewhere that Plaquenil is not as strong/effective in the treatment of early RA. With Methotrexate, the reports of nausea and possible liver damage are concerning.
